Prepare your taste buds and tune your ears for the 17th Annual BBQ & Blues Cook Off, a two-day festival celebrating the best of barbecue and blues music in downtown Foley's Heritage Park. This year's event promises an unforgettable experience with a stellar lineup of local talent and activities for the whole family.

Friday Night Kick-Off: Taylor Hicks & Rollin’ in the Hay LIVE in Concert

The festivities kick off on Friday, March 7, with an incredible night of live music featuring Taylor Hicks, the soulful American Idol winner known for his powerful voice and electrifying stage presence. But that's not all—Rollin’ in the Hay will also take the stage, bringing their high-energy blend of bluegrass and rock to the festival!

Did you know? This legendary band includes two members of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame! If you were into local music in the late ‘70s and ‘80s, you probably remember Telluride—and now, their lead singer is rocking alongside Jimmy Hall’s (Wet Willie) sister in Rollin’ in the Hay. It’s a show you won’t want to miss!

• Tickets: $20 online in advance; $25 at the gate

• Note: Food and beverages will be available for purchase, but BBQ samples and kids’ activities are exclusive to Saturday’s event.

  
  

Saturday Cook-Off: A Full Day of Music, Food, and Fun

On Saturday, March 8, the park transforms into a haven for BBQ enthusiasts and music lovers alike. The day kicks off at 10:00 AM, featuring a variety of activities:

• Live Music: Enjoy performances from local favorites, including:

  • Foley High School Bands – Showcasing the budding talent of our community’s youth.

  • The Three57s – Delivering a blend of blues and rock that’s sure to get you moving.

  • The Defrosters & Friends – Bringing their unique sound to the stage for a 'get up and dance' performance.

• BBQ Sampling: Starting at 11:00 AM, indulge in a variety of BBQ samples prepared by competing teams vying for the grand championship title; get bbq samples while they last!

• Kids' Zone: A dedicated area with activities and entertainment to keep the little ones engaged and entertained.

• Arts & Crafts Vendors: Explore booths featuring local artisans and crafters, offering unique items and souvenirs.

• Awards Ceremony: The day's festivities culminate at 4:00 PM with an awards presentation honoring the best BBQ teams and standout performances.

• Location: Heritage Park, Downtown Foley (at the intersection of Hwy 98 and Hwy 59)

• Friday Admission: $20 online/prepurchased, $25 at the Gate.

• Saturday Admission: $10, available for purchase on-site only.
