Winners Announced for the 18th Annual Foley BBQ & Blues Cook Off

The 18th Annual Foley BBQ & Blues Cook Off, presented by RiverView Turf, returned to Heritage Park in downtown Foley on Saturday, March 14, bringing together the rich aromas of slow-smoked barbecue, the sounds of live blues music, and the energy of a community coming together for a great cause.

Throughout the day, festivalgoers enjoyed sampling barbecue prepared by talented cook teams competing in the Backyard Championship while live music filled the park. Arts and crafts vendors lined the streets, families explored the Kids Zone, and visitors from across the region gathered to celebrate one of South Baldwin’s favorite annual traditions.

The Foley BBQ & Blues Cook Off is the largest fundraiser for the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting educational enrichment initiatives that serve 14 schools in the Foley and Elberta High School feeder pattern. Funds raised through the event help provide programs, grants, and leadership opportunities that benefit local students and teachers.

A special thank you goes to the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) judges who brought their expertise to the competition. Their role in evaluating the incredible entries from this year’s cook teams ensures that the highest standards of backyard barbecue competition are upheld.

The event would not be possible without the support of the many sponsors, volunteers, vendors, musicians, and cook teams who help bring the festival to life each year. Their contributions help create a welcoming atmosphere filled with great food, live entertainment, and community spirit.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to Debbie Williams of WKRG News 5, who served as the emcee for this year’s awards presentation. Debbie brought great energy to the stage as she helped recognize the outstanding cook teams and celebrate the results of the competition.
